Opawa St Martins Plunket Toy Library Information

We are a non-profit community service as an entity of the Royal New Zealand Plunket Society South Christchurch Branch Inc, run by a committee of volunteers and two paid librarians. The library is funded by an annual membership fee, toy rental fees, grants and money from fundraising.

• Membership is open to families with children aged between 0-10 years

• There is an annual subscription fee (2009-2010 fee is $35 per family). Three duty sessions must be completed within 12 months of joining, or an extra fee per missed duty is payable

• ‘Membership with No Duty Sessions’ is available – 2009-2010 fee is $80

• Casual membership for grandparents etc with children staying for short periods. The cost is $5 membership, plus rental fees and is payable during each visit to the Toy Library

• Toy Rental – based on the value and age of the toy – ranges from 50c to $3 per fortnight per toy

• Party packs (under 2s and over 2s) are available for weekly hire, fee at July 2009 is $20

• Please feel free to come down during our opening times to have a look around!

TO JOIN: Please visit the toy library to fill in an application form and pay your membership fee. Toys can be hired on the day you join.
